Draping
The process of positioning and pinning the fabric onto the mannequin. Draping can be used to create the basic pattern to design organically by playing with the fabric. Sometimes, it is possible to create 3D shape from paper and add it onto the drape.
Sustainable Drape
Sustainable drape is made with fabric without wasting or cutting the out patterns. It is created by doing folds, pleating, gathering and etc to make voluminous shapes or folds without contributing to fashion waste
Draping 2
For Draping 2, I need to start by draping a bustier, fully lining it, and then adding a drape of my choice over it. After that, I will decorate it with butterflies, pearls, and flower beads, placing the main focus on the center with a large butterfly and gradually dispersing smaller beads from the top right side to the waistline and then to the bottom left. I will finish it off by hand-stitching floral lace.
